A great stretch class for anyone that wants to focus on their glutes and hips. A really focused session dedicated to opening up and mobilizing those areas of the body. By stretching and mobilizing these areas you enable your body to be able to go further in lower body exercises and live day to day with more ease. The glutes and hips get so tight from sitting all day, generally not moving our bodies enough and also not stretching properly after we work those areas of the body. It is really important to pair workouts with good stretch sessions or stretch properly on your rest days. Keep coming back to this session and see how your body opens up over time. 

 

Equipment Needed : Body Weight

Paired workouts are usually a suggested fusion of both methods or an extension of the workout you have just completed.

What it works: Glutes & hips

How much room they need: 1 mat

Tips: Please be mindful in any class, but especially stretch classes, of what your body is telling you. There are some back bends and stretches that may not be appropriate for someone with knee issues. The key is to reduce the range of motion to support your body and use blocks or something similar to prop you up if you need added support.
