Michelle Lafortune

Originally from the West Coast of Canada, Michelle is a Stott Pilates Certified Reformer instructor, personal trainer, and group fitness teacher, with a background as a professional dancer and singer. She has spent her career either on stage performing in musicals in London’s West End and internationally, or teaching a variety of gruelling fitness classes at her home base in London.

 

Michelle’s speciality lies in creating workouts inspired by her extensive dance training that strongly focus on promoting flexibility, strengthening muscles to a long and lean aesthetic, bringing balance into the body, and helping her clients recover from and prevent injuries. She has a reputation at studios all over central London for delivering brutally tough classes with a sense of fun and humour.

 

Michelle is also a songwriter, releasing music under the moniker, “Sorcia” and advocating for mental health issues that are close to her heart. During her time off from teaching and performing in 2020 she began writing a novel which she continues to work on and plans to finish by the end of 2021. Her work as a musician can be found on all music platforms including Spotify.
