Growing up Simon’s childhood was about two things, sport and homework. Often Simon would complete his homework by the pool before he went to his swimming sessions and it was like this throughout his life, a tricky balance between the two. This made him the competitive person that he is now and his love for fitness grew from there. He has been exposed to many different sports including football, badminton, tennis, table tennis and swimming – the list goes on. Simon has been involved in a wide variety of sporting events from swimming for his county to boxing for charity. When it comes to his gym life Simon was thrown into the deep end when the first ever gym he went to was a bodybuilding gym. This in turn inspired him to work extra hard to try keep up with those around him.
After dabbling in the 9-5 world Simon realised his true passion was fitness. He completed his level 3 personal training qualification whilst he was an account executive and he hasn’t looked back since. Simon is grateful to be able to share his passion for fitness as a PT and call it a ‘job’. This ‘job’ has lead him to be featured as a top trainer in Time Out Magazine, modelling for Nike and being a part of many fitness campaigns. Alongside personal training he was also a videographer for a boxing gym which allowed him to learn first-hand how other trainers were coaching, not long after he also became a boxing coach. Simon specialises in boxing, HIIT and calisthenics so expect some of these elements to be implemented into his classes.
