Manifestation has become quite the topic du jour. It has been bashed about everywhere lately – TikTok, Vogue and daytime TV to say the least. Harper’s Bazaar has hailed it the ”decade’s woke buzzword”. You may even be familiar with Roxie Nafousi’s bestselling book “Manifest”.

If you’re still not clued up, we’re here to debunk the myths and give you our lowdown on how to manifest and call in the life you want.

Back in 2006, The Secret exploded onto the scene, heralding the Law of Attraction. The book sold 30 million copies and has been championed by thought leaders such as Oprah, Deepak Chopra and Eckhart Tolle. But what is the law of attraction exactly? Oprah Daily (2020) states that manifestation is ” bringing something tangible into your life through attraction and belief, i.e. if you think it, and it will come.” And while it really is that simple, to manifest the life you want requires daily commitment, acknowledgment of your relationship with yourself, and consistent work towards your goals.

Essentially manifestation is a self-development practice, and requires proactivity, so you shouldn’t expect it all to happen overnight.

Look at your self-worth

Be honest about the relationship you have with yourself. Manifestation runs on the belief that everything in this Universe is made up of energy. This means that if your self worth is low and you believe that you don’t deserve to live an amazing life then you are blocking your own progress.

Having a healthier relationship with yourself and believing that you deserving of what you are asking for is key to manifesting the life you want.

Watch your thoughts

You may have heard the old adage, “watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions…” (Lao Tzu). This couldn’t be more true. Start to become aware of the thoughts you’re having on a daily basis. For example, if you are wanting to call in more money, be mindful if you keep telling yourself (and the world) that you have no money or that you are bad with money. Watch and observe your thoughts, replacing them with positive ones as much as possible.

Raise your vibration

Manifestation operates on positive, abundant energy so find ways to make yourself feel good on the daily. Try to regularly make time for movement, gratitude, meditation, self-care and rest.

Alongside this, start to look at your boundaries. Only say yes to things that truly light you up and make you feel great (and learn how to say no to things that don’t!).
All of which will create a high vibration, priming you ready to receive all that you’re calling in.

Get clear on what you want

Now this is the fun bit. Write a list, or create a vision board of everything you want to manifest. Go big. Go bold. Listen to what your heart and soul really desires. Take a moment to close your eyes and visualise the life you so want. Imagine how it would feel if everything on your list came true. Literally step into the energy of that future life.
Every time you make a choice, ask yourself – am I moving closer or further away from my dream life? Is this helping to manifest the life I want?

Trust

The final and most important step, trust that what you’ve asked for is coming.

Trust that you are exactly where you’re meant to be.
Have gratitude for the present moment, keep raising your vibration, make positive choices and that dream life will be yours before you know it…
